Charge 5 is great if you are leaning more into portability. But when it comes to loudness, extreme is around 1.7x louder. You can actually feel how the charge 5 struggles when you put it in the highest volume, the sound quality reduces. While on the Extreme 3, it is a good choice if the size is not really a problem for you. The bass is deeper than the charge 5. Louder, plus it has a 3.5 mm jack and can charge your phone thru the type c port and usb A port.

The equalizer on the charge 5 only controls which sound quality will be more evident but it does not actually mean that it will have more powerful bass than the extreme.

Flip 6 has good sound quality, but for use on a work desk, the distance is 30-50 cm, is it still safe & comfortable for your ears ?

I have a charge 5 and I never regretted buying it, to me the charge 5 is like a smaller extreme 3, I tried them both out in a electronic store and yes the extreme 3 has more punchy bass than the charge 5 but the mids and highs are identical. Reason I went with the charge 5 is because of its size and portability.

im not the loud type so the charge 5 is what i picked and having it half a month it works great, you will need to buy a case for it for 15 dollars to take it on walks but if your rich you may just wanna buy a clip 4 and skip the trouble of getting a case. tried it outside when i play with my dog we chase a laser light and turn on music and works great on 90 to 100 volume or 70 if your near it. as for outdoors i took it with me to listen to music and charge my phone. me and my mother took the dogs for a walk and my iphone 8 plus was on 25% battery and so i turned the volume down on my phone and turn wifi and bluetooth off and turn power saving mode on and turn the brightness almost all the way down. then i turned the speaker on and tested how it works while charging. i notice that volume will be very low when you are charging a device at the same time with it but thats fine because it saves battery for the speaker reducing the sound while charging. my phone went from 25 leaving to 70 when we came back home and i went inside the house. so yeah it works great as a power bank kind of a bonus feature i dint know i needed in life. while my cousin brags about having a multi slot power bank from sams club i now have one thats a speaker and power bank. as for inside the house it works great it sounds really loud at 40 to 50% volume because of walls around it so no sound bleeding. works better in the bathroom too when i take a shower i usually leave it on a stand away from the water so no steam gets in it and it plays good. it also works good on my computer or using it on my ps5 ( i have to connect it to the TV bluetooth because ps5 dont support accessories but its cool.

So I bought both of them to test them and return whichever I didn't like. Everyone says the xtreme is noticeably louder but it's not. It's almost exactly the same volume which is insane. Also the quality is arguably better on the charge at low to mid volume. The bass on the charge, yes the little one, seems punchier at lower volumes as well. Its almost as if the xtreme subwoofers only really get a kick if the volume is pretty loud. The sound at full volume is definitely better on the xtreme but not enough to want it over the more portable, just as loud, and better for lower volume listening charge. Even if they were the same price I think I'd get the charge over the xtreme. The only reason you should get the xtreme is if you will be listening to it at full or nearly full volume most of the time (which unless it's exclusively a party speaker you won't cuz it's INSANELY loud) and you want that non distorted perfect sound with a really deep bass at full volume (at the other volumes they both have super full base and no distortion whatsoever). Also you have to not mind carrying it around on yr shoulder cuz the xtreme is rly huge.

Hellow just here with an extreme 3! I also listen to a charge 5 and as a power and deep bass extreme 3 takes the lead with no effort! As low-mid volume + bass, the better one for indoor as well is charge 5, but for parties and for outdoor and indoor( a bit too loud) is the extreme 3. In my opinion extreme 3 is a way better speaker if the price and size is not a matter! ( with the band for extreme 3 is very easy to carry with u so.... as i said if you want to buy one of them choose extreme 3)

Xtreme 3 sounds great by itself in stereo mode. Sounds terrible in party mode. Xtreme 3 loses its treble and goes mid range in party mode. But again…
It sounds great by itself in stereo. Charge 5 sounds great by itself but is mono… however when paired with another Charge 5 in party mode or stereo with app it is just as clear and awesome as it did as a single speaker. I have both. They are both top shelf.
