i wish this unofficial update bring back a OLD engineer whale hunter designe, he even had a custom pistol (different than the standard pistol as it looked like an Walter P38) i loved that designe and i can't found it anymore, its still somewhere in the tf2 community workshop i think

I mean...Unlike any other community updates, this one actually was mentioned in news hub. There's probably a chance it will actually gonna make it. Last time i remember they approved community's Last Stand update for LFD2, perhaps there was more of that somewhere, and maybe it doesn't mean shit...But according to Valve's last actions this is more likely can be an actual update...Also unlike Invasion this one doesn't making much profit, without its update themed pass(i honestly don't remember what this was for), and on paper this just seems like another season update but with its own theme this time.
So yeah, big hopes on that one.

Ok, new payload reskin thingy idea: the two teams both have a ship at their own whaling stations, and they need to stand near the helm of the ship to make it sail across the water, and at a certain point in the ocean there is a whale, and the ship that gets to the whale first fires a harpoon at it and that team wins.

If Valve acknowledged it I feel like that’s a pretty good sign it’s gonna happen. The only thing I’m praying for is that they actually include that new weapon. Even just one new weapon would mean so much for the future of the game. It’s been almost a decade since the last new weapon

We need this, also if that heavy weapon is projectile based I am in. Would also love to see a scout primary that fires projectiles. Hitscan doesn't do it for me anymore, I need PROJECTILES

Valve's recent involvement seems to be in the effort to signify that they're done working on the game. I don't see them making this an official update, especially if it's already been announced as a community project. But I'd certainly be delighted to be wrong!

I wanna hope so bad, but I don't think valve will acknowledge this. I do agree that they have been more hands on recently, although I see it as just putting a nice bow on the the game, just fixing the main issues and giving it a proper sendoff. But a man can dream.
