Since I was a teenager in 1967 1968 I was told by a pastor that had a real interest in Bible prophecy the very idea that someone would argue that the rapture is a man-made construct has not read Thessalonians

Lots of good solid exegesis here in both parts 1 & 2. I think you summed up perfectly why brothers & sisters who hold a pre-trib view have so much trouble seeing the eschatological picture that scripture so clearly illustrates...they’re wearing their pre-trib colored glasses.

It really clouds the otherwise straight forward reading of the end-times Biblical passages when one overlays their preconceived notions about what they wish were true on top of scripture rather than simply letting the words speak for themselves.

Bravo Donny. Sola scriptura. Keep it up!

Donny, I sincerely appreciate you being brave enough to review your interpretation of the rapture with us. I have seriously been struggling for the past year between pre-and post trib rapture. I appreciate hearing someone else’s interpretation. I actually got the chance to grill both my pastors from my independent baptist church I am a member of on this very topic. after our 2 hour debate of going back and forth on the scripture with me being for a post trip and them being for pre-trib I still was not completely convinced of the pretrib rapture although I have to admit they did sway me more towards the pre-tribulation. They just couldn’t answer the one question that I had that was burning about Satan‘s wrath versus God‘s wrath. The one saying that makes me lean more towards pre-tribulation rapture that I’ve heard before was from Pastor Jack Hibbs he said that there’s no way that Jesus is going to let his bride go through the tribulation and be beat up before he marries her. Which makes a lot of sense why would Jesus let his bride be beat up before he marries her? We ended the conversation agreeing to disagree and I made sure that if the pre-tribulation didn’t come to fruition like they expected that they would not give up their faith in Jesus and will endure until the end no matter what. I’ve had this worry in my heart that so many people are going to be deceived because they are expecting Jesus to return before the antichrist is revealed. So when they see the antichrist revealed I really believe many will lose hope and faith. So I pray that the majority of the pastors out there are correct and that the pre-tribulation rapture will happen and Jesus will not let his bride be beat up. But, I also will not be deceived, ever. I’m ready to endure to the end. The crazy thing is is when I was five years old right before my grandma died she prepared me to meet the antichrist, she wanted to make sure that I would endure to the end. She told me, “Ashli, you know you are dealing with the antichrist if they Demand your worship!” she said “Jesus will never demand or command you to worship Him” I really feel like she was post-tribulation rapture but I never got the chance to ask her or even know what that really was before she died. it also very much bothers me that Jesus would go to this length to explain what happens during the tribulation and the mark of the beast and all of that if we were not going to be there for it. What’s the point of us knowing all of this if we’re not even going to be there?

So many of my baptist brothers and sisters never hear this. It’s Been fun passing these along. Well done.

Let us remember that we are told over and over in scripture, even by Jesus that we will have tribulation, and are encouraged to pray, to endure, to be of good cheer, to be patient, etc….Those things alone should refute any pre-trib rapture teachings. God bless you.

@SFT the whole pre tribulation rapture things has never made sense to me. Jesus will not come in secret or quietly by any means. The whole world will know when Christ Returns. Again @SFT thank you brother for this series

Appreciate this, keep it up! Not everyone can keep a cool head on this topic. And it's obvious you've looked into this deeply. Also Appreciate the fact that you have one authority, makes all the difference. A plurality of Bible versions leave most "scholars" in the high weeds

@SFT Nothing happening in our world is surprising me. There is no doubt that the Bible is proving itself daily.'prophecy is being fulfilled daily. Yes people are suffering but as a Christian in my heart I'm excited because I will meet my Savior face to face. Also as a Christian we have to get in gear and tell others about the Truth of Christ

As a Bible believing, Christ saved Christian I just can not believe in the false doctrine of a pre tribulation rapture. Being a selfish human I'd love nothing more than having Jesus just take us out of here but it is not Biblical. Pre tribulation rapture makes as much sense as the evolution lie which Christians have also been tricked into believing

It's so nice to stumble upon some common sense in eschatological discussions. I would say I don't understand how anyone can believe pretrib rapture, but that wouldn't be true. Wishful escapism is a powerful motivator biasing us against more logical interpretations. Do you lean more toward midtrib or posttrib? Or just generally prewrath? Looking forward to the next installment.

Isaiah 13:10-11 says the same thing as Mat 24 also

Hi I agree with a lot of what you say but in Revelation 7 these saints are in heaven before the throne.
So in your theory are you claiming that the rapture is to heaven or to the clouds then heaven?

Thanks
