The reason people think that way is because 1. God doesn't give us straight answers in that way. 2. The scripture seems like it is literal.

I read Lindsey's book in the 80's. I enjoyed it but I was indifferent. I wasn't saved until the mid 90's and then in a Pentacostal church. I really learned a lot from the Pastor's sermons but I was silently skeptical about so-called tongues and prophecy. I read every book of the Left Behind series as they came out so I guess at that time I was pre-millenial. Now? I left that church about 15 years ago. I've read a lot of MacArthur and Sproul, as well as Paul Washer. Then I came across James White, Doug Wilson and, drum roll, Gary DeMar. Now? I don't know. I lean towards DeMar's position, but I'm not sure. It makes for VERY interesting discussion, provided we approach such with grace. Too many don't. For the post-millenial position, I think it mainly boils down to when Revelation was written. Still, so many get so wrapped up in Revelation that they forget the Gospel! I'm concentrating on growing in His Word. Every time I read I discover something new! Talk about a blessing!

So isn’t this the same as the 7 mountain theology the NAR group teaches?

Question: so in this postmillenial view… and maybe you covered it in the video I watched it a week ago… but the return of Christ if we were to describe it is it as a roaring Lion with garments covered in the blood of His enemies or is it more like a Hallmark Movie with everything fine & dandy?

Postmil view paints a radical different view than the pre-mil view is what I’m getting at. I don’t think they could be more diametrically opposed in that pre-mil generally would say the darkest days of the history of the world are poured out. Massive evil. Billions upon billions of people dead. Darkness consuming the earth & Jesus Christ radically breaking into the scene as a roaring Lion whose garments are covered in the blood of His enemies & He is coming to conquer and to damn having poured out His wrath upon billions of people. Whereas the Postmil view would generally say no… the lightest days are present. It’s never been better or more righteous on earth except before the fall perhaps. I think you can see how they paint radically different pictures.

Whereas Post-mil presents more of a radically Christianized earth. And from what I’ve heard, maybe I’m wrong Post-mil folks don’t believe Christ will be covered in the blood of His enemies. There are none. (That’s a bit hyperbolic) but there is a dynamic contrast in 2nd comings. 1st coming Christ is covered in His own blood as the Lamb. 2nd coming Christ comes as a roaring zluon not covered in His own blood but the blood of his enemies.

1st coming Of Christ was humble… revealed to the nobodies the shepherds. 2nd coming under pre-mil Every eye, of every person cannot deny this 2nd coming. It’s not humble it’s in your face.

But back to my question. The 2nd coming of Jesus Christ under the Post-mill view would be described
