HOW TO GET AUDI A6 & A7 CARPLAY FOR FREE

I'm Giving out Carplay for Audi A6 & A7 for FREE. Just follow this guide. Really simple.

THE UPDATE PROCEDURE HAS CHANGED SINCE I CREATED THIS VIDEO, THE SOFTWARE IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE ON MY INSTAGRAM. PLEASE USE THE GUIDE & LINK BELOW - YOU DO NOT NEED TO FOLLOW ME ON INSTAGRAM ANYMORE.

ℹ️ Installation tutorial
1. Confirm you have Audi MMI MIB2 with MHI2_ER_AUG11 or MHI2_ER_AU57x SW train.
2. Download the Audi 3663 AIO update and extract it to an empty FAT32 formatted SD card.
3. Turn the engine on and make sure keyless key will stay in the vehicle during the procedure.
4. Restore factory settings in Audi MMI system.
5. Place the card in SD1 port.
6. Press and hold BACK and TOP-LEFT button to enter Red Engineering Menu.
7. Go to Update → SD 1 → Standard → Start update → Start.
8. Wait patiently for about 30-40 minutes. Unit will reboot several times. Sometimes screen will stay closed, sometimes will stay black, sometimes will stay on Audi logo. Keep waiting.
9. When it's done confirm it. Unit will reboot one final time.
10. Check if unit is now running updated firmware.

🚗 This tutorial was made in Audi A7 (4G), but the same system can be found in Audi A6 C7 (4G). Audi MMI MIB2 system (MHI2) is sometimes called Audi MMI 4G.

⚠️ If your car is equipped with keyless remote, make sure that the remote stays in car at all times during the update procedure. Removing the key from the vehicle can turn the ignition off which will cause update to fail.

1. ENGINE RUNNING, KEY IN VEHICLE AT ALL TIMES, GO TO MENU SYSTEM, SETUP MMI, VERSION INFORMATION & MAKE SURE YOUR VERSION IS MHI2_ER_AU57X & MHI2_ER_AUG11X
2. GO TO FACTURY SETTINGS, RESTORE FACTORY SETTINGS, SELECT YES
4. CLICK BACK & TOP LEFT BUTTONS TOGETHER TO OPEN THE RED ENGINEERING MENU, SELECT UPDATE, SD1, STANDARD, START UPDATE, START, THEN WAIT ABOUT 35 TO 40 MINUTES
5. CLICK CONTINUE, CANCEL VERSION COMPARE, THEN WAIT AS SYSTEM REBOOTS (SCREEN WILL CLOSE AND RE OPEN AFTER ABOUT 15 SECONDS)
6. PLUG IN YOUR PHONE CABLE, AND PLUG IN YOUR PHONE, CHECK YOUR SOFTWARE VERSION TO MAKE SURE ITS DIFFERENT, THEN ON THE MENU SELECT 'AUDI SMARTPHONE' SELECT ACTIVATE APPLE CARPLAY

Works perfectly. This is not a scam. Just installed on my 2017 A6. Just one tip - after unzip, copy all (5+) files in root folder of SD card.

I installed it on my 2016 Audi A6 Avant, everything ok.
I remind you that once you have downloaded the indicated file, you must extract all the files in the root directory of the SD card, otherwise it won't run the update because the SD card is not recognized.

Amazing, works seamlessly! The guy saying it's a scam is clearly one of the same people trying to charge me £60 for this exact update, the irony!! Had a small problem getting the files on the SD card. You need to put the root files only on the SD card not all the other empty folders as it won't recognise the SD card, the update itself is a doddle!

Anyone who says thus doesn't work is probably fibbing. Worked a treat in my 2017 A7. As in the other comments copy all the files in the folder to the main root of the SD card and hit go. You Sir are legendary for releasing this for free to people. Thank you 😊

Worked for me today. Tried with usb at first didn't seem to see it. So found an old phone sd card and an adapter and that worked! Had to bring the sub folders to the front also I think as it worked with everything out of the initial folder. Otherwise went exactly as described and my software was a slightly different version to begin with. If your able to follow instructions and have a small amount of pc knowledge deffinately give it a go. 100% worth it.
