This is the all-new Audi A6 Avant!

Audi has reversed its naming policy of even-numbered cars being electric only, so the new A6 Avant will come with both petrol and diesel engines! The question is, what else has changed? Let’s take a closer look.

On the outside, the A6 has undergone a design overhaul, but it is still distinctly an Audi. Up front, there’s a large aggressive grille, flanked on either side by sharp headlights. Being an Audi, it’s naturally equipped with fantastic headlights, which come with the option to personalise in several different ways. Along the side the car sports flush door handles, and at the back there’s a large wraparound light bar, as well as a set of taillights. And of course, given it’s powered by a petrol or diesel engine, there looks to be a set of real exhaust tips as well!

The A6 also looks super smart on the inside. It’s equipped with Audi’s latest panoramic driving display, as well as the option to add a third screen for the front passenger! The A6 is likely to be equipped with soft-touch materials throughout most of the cabin, and there are ambient lights fitted throughout. It looks seriously impressive!

Regarding engines in the UK, there will be a choice of a 2-litre 4-cylinder turbo petrol or diesel engine. The petrol is front-wheel drive, while the diesel comes with a mild hybrid system and is equipped with Quattro all-wheel-drive - both cars produce 204hp. Elsewhere a 3-litre turbo V6 will also be available, and an S6 is also in the works. We also hope that a petrol-powered RS6 will arrive in the not-too-distant future!

The new Audi A6 goes on sale from April 1st 2025 costing from £52,500. So is it the best premium estate around? Or is a 5 Series Touring the better option? You’ll need to stick with Mat to see for yourself!

I wonder who is gonna bite the bullet and release a luxury car with physical dials and knobs again, this obsession with screens is terrible.

Zero real buttons inside means zero interest from me. I’m only 33 and am reminiscing about the good old days of good car interiors….im not supposed to do that until I’m a retired old man…

Fire the interior design team asap along with the board members who approved it.

The new Audis are really pretty.
Imagine, if they also did an ICE R8 with this design language.

It looks alright tbh, I think audi did a good job with this. And I love it how the new RS6 still has the v8

My personal opinion for those that wonder:
I think the C9 Audi A6 Avant looks great on the outside. I am pleased with the exterior and I think it carries a proper Audi DNA with a good update of the design. No horrible split headlights, and I think together with the new A5 and Q5, the car looks really good.
However, same thing can not be said about the interior. I am actually in shock that such a huge company known for interior quality and attention to details, have created something like this and force if on to the customers. Too many screens, to confusing instrument cluster, piano black everywhere, a button as a gearshift and low material quality. And it’s ridiculous that this is a copy of the A5/S5, Q5/SQ5, Q6, SQ6, A6e/S6e interior. And still, that atrocious Dacia steering wheel is still there. Like what the actual f… ?
So my emotions are mixed, but I am hopeful that they realise that can absolutely not go on with these interiors.
So, exterior: 8/10. Interior 2/10.

I can live with the exterior design, but the interior with 75 screens and zero dash is really pathetic.

I'm so glad they cancelled the new numbering and stuck with the A4, A5, A6 as we know it.
Changing the A4 estate to the A5 estate was just rediculous and would be bad for sales.

This new trend of putting screens everywhere is a big no for me. I want analog dials and physical buttons.

You made a mistake in this video. You said "This interior does Not disappoint" i think you meant to say "This interior does not" or "This interior does disappoint"... Audi has admitted awful quality interiors and they need to fix this before they release the a5 or a6

Is that cheap scratchy plastic on the steering Wheel in a car in this price category? 3:44

That looks stunning in comparison to most modern estates

That’s actually nice. Finally a German car that isn’t controversially designed for no reason. Just a nice classic design
