Islam and Judaism, Understanding the Key Differences & Similarities

Islam and Judaism have distinct theological doctrines that shape their beliefs and practices.

In Islam, the central theological doctrine is the belief in the oneness of Allah (God) and the finality of Prophet Muhammad's message. Muslims believe in the Quran as the literal word of God, and they emphasize the concepts of tawhid (monotheism) and the five pillars of Islam.

In Judaism, the central theological doctrine is the belief in the covenant between God and the Jewish people. Jews follow the teachings of the Torah and other sacred texts, and they emphasize the importance of ethical conduct, observance of Jewish law (Halakha), and the concepts of chosenness and the coming of the Messiah.
