Good advice overall. I’ve coached many distance runners who initially ran like soccer players, their arms “flailing across their center line, ” as you put it.
One of my friends suggest that the hands should be relaxed, yet cupped slightly as if runners are carrying eggs. Finally, I liken the arm swing to pulling oneself along the rope handles of a Burma (rope) bridge.

Thank you for the tips. im training to run 8.3 Miles In a race, which im gonna join with my friend. Im also trying to run on my midfoot more, so I don’t get more injuries. Thank you for making these videos😀

I think I’m doing a forefoot strike, but might have still given myself a shin splint?? (Only my left leg) am I just landing too hard on my feet?
