Reliability, entertainment features and wide variety of lamps and accessories brought me back to Hue. I love how I can put Play bars behind my monitor, light strip behind my desk, a Bloom above my cabinets and control them easily from the Hue app. I used to have bulbs of many different brands, and I hated the fqct that the same color don't match on each other.

And also, I loooove the Hue scene creator. I love that you can select an image and it uses the image palette to paint your entire room. Beautiful!

I think you should always include minimum brightness to bulb reviews. I always want to ensure that bulbs go as dim as possible when needed.

Well done comparison. I also enjoy Paul’s channel.
You are spot on with Philips Hue. I started with LIFX because of their brightness and no hub needed. Reliability became a huge problem. Bulbs went offline. Resetting bulbs was a monthly occurrence and then trying to connect to them required multiple chicken sacrifices and chants. I just gave up after awhile and took the plunge. Now only have 1 LIFX bulb in my house. I previously had 7... well, I still do. But they are sitting in a closet.
Philips hue works. I have yet to have a bulb drop off. I have over a dozen lights including sync and they all work. Every day. Yes, they are expensive but they work. I change smart home devices primarily for this reason: it has to work reliably.

Hibbert has a bug up his butt about the completely legitimate Hue Bridge changeover. Hue were one of the first options available, so it always made perfect sense that they would have to have a bridge update at some point — and since then, their new bridge has had a very long life. Hibbert needs to chill on the Hue hate :)

I think standby power consumption is also crucial and a must to consider if you are going to change all your lights to smart ones.

I have 10 LIFX bulbs in my house because I love the colors! The only thing I can complain about is the App. It’s just terrible! I’ve got all my bulbs on sale and I don’t regret it at all! Adds a calming feeling and atmosphere to my home I would miss terribly if I didn’t have it. Great reviews on all the bulbs!!

Is the WiZ A19 the same as the Philips WiZ Connected A19? It looks like it might have just been rebranded but I want to make sure it still has all the same features
