I ordered the Wiz A21 bulbs plus the remote, they were a good deal and after the poor quality performance of the current amazon find bulbs I'm going with a much higher quality (hopefully) smart bulb. Thanks for all the info and input, really helpful and appreciated!

Tried Sengled bluetooth bulbs and after a while they didnt want to connect to the Alexa system anymore. The Yeelights can be a little shakey with their connection too. The Feits in my lamps while the colors are dim, they whites are good and they are good about keeping a connection.

Good call on the Feits. I returned them after a few weeks due to unreliable connectivity. The SmartThings are great for simpler utility needs and very reliable. I have them in the carriage lamp fixtures on my house exterior and tie them to my doorbell which gives me effective motion triggered lights. Rather than just turning on for motion I have the lights come on dimmed and off with sunset and sunrise, but brighten for 15m if motion is detected.

I’m on team yeelight. I bought a couple colored yeelights for cheap on AliExpress. The app is surprisingly well made and the bulb has great whites, warms, and colors. It also works with HomeKit.

Looking forward to your best of video on these. I'm so confused by all the smart bulb options! I just want to find one that is affordable and I can use without a hub, and that can be controlled by Alexa. I need it for a lamp that presently has 3 brightness settings. You rock Reed!
