That foam is not from soap. Neither from excess feed. It was caused by Ammonia (death of bacteria due to change in water chemistry).

This extremely misinforming especially without any explanation of why this "could be a sign" of ammonia present... I noticed you have duckweed and plants the bubbles could be a sign of plant matter and also there's other explanations like medicine etc. Do not look at your aquarium with bubbles and think ammonia.... pull your test kit and see what is going on

reminds me of the bubble nest my betta made...

A video with NO explanation of what causes ammonia. How is a beginner going to get information from this video?? For all we know we might think you claim that black object in the water disintegrated because of ammonia.

All the foam/xtra bubbles show is excess protein in the water. Could be from many things.

Buy an aqaruiun water parameter test kit, it will indicate - Ammonial, ph, nitrate level and more other things.

Me: “Damn, my tank has fish in it too. Better throw them out in the next water change.”

A foam may be a bettafish bubblenest or a water treament chemical like declorinator or a medicine.

You test ammonia if you think you have ammonia

I just set up a new tank, I put 25 neon tetras in a 14 gallon nano tank. I got foam like that, just did a 50% water change and it went away.

Thats just excess protein from feeds....ammonia spike has no sign

test kits can only detect it

This is so not informative, theres no explenation and there is dosens of other reasons why there is airbubles floating in your tank. Only way to realy know if you have amonia is test test test…

Thats not a sign of ammonia! I have been in the game for 13 years and never had this issue I ran dozens of tanks small to big. unless you got some kind of skimmer or what not that's protein definitely I can tell by the shade of water theres alot of waste in there. A well maintained tank would be crystal clear on any angle
