Thank you for this! My nitrates and ammonia were spiking in my new planted tank and had no idea it was because my pH had dropped. No one has mentioned this in the dozens of videos I’ve seen so far. Buffering it now to kick things back into gear.

Wow I’m glad I don’t have these problems because my tank is perfectly balanced. I haven’t changed water for 3 months.

Detox it immediately with prime water conditioner then go about changing 30 percent of the water every day. I wouldn't do 90 percent unless you have fish dieing on you

Good informative video. I have used the prime or seachem safe in these situations, but I also use seachem stability along with it to boost the bacteria growth to catch up with the ammonia. Do you personally find much value in the bacteria in a bottle?

Another quality video dude, wanted to ask a question if that’s ok ….
I’m going on holiday for 2 weeks, the tank has been going for 6 months so is very established, I do a 80% water change weekly ……. I am very worried about leaving it 2 weeks with out the water change ….. is there anything I can do???

Thank you for the video, very informative and useful buddy. Can I confirm it’s ok to add prime with the fish / shrimps in? Currently suffering high nitrite and nitrates in my tank.
Thanks again.
