I love how it's easier and more satisfying to watch triangle boy than any other fitness channel

To get the best of both worlds:
Slow and controlled eccentric with a nice stretch for the hypertrophy. Explosive concentric for the strength gains.

Easiest way to explain this to beginners: “Control the eccentric (lowering), EXPLODE on the concentric (raising).” Drill this in early, and they’ll maximize strength and hypertrophy gains and never have to worry about tempo again.

"Pump fast and hard" lol there's a sex joke somewhere in there.

Hypertrophy suffers when you do this so it just depends on what your goal is. If you want to get big, slow your eccentric, emphasis on the stretch and controlled concentric (2-3 seconds). If you want athletic, go explosive on the concentric and slowish on the eccentric. This will help strengthen your connective tissue and work on the athletic explosiveness you need. Yay.. it’s triangle boy. Velocity training for the win. Time under tension doesn’t mean what most people thinks it means.

You need to TREN hard. TEST your limits. And have a CLEN diet.

I started lifting with explosive moves a couple months ago after Menno recommended it, and my gains have been awesome. BOnus my workout takes less time. ALso, you don't need to go crazy long on the eccentric either, just control the weight down, so like 1 second is fine.

Maybe my thoughts are wrong, but I thought that longer Time under tension meant only slowing the eccentric down. Are people really doing the concentric parts slowly?

Fast concentric, slow eccentric
In myo rep match sets and finish each set off with a few lengthed partials after fail (these can be fast ) and after 3 if these combo sets, do 2 Dropsets.
This gives you 9 fail points
1st set (1) lengthed partials (2)
2nd set (3) myo rep match (4) partials (5)
3rd set (6) myo rep match (7)
1st drop (8) 2nd drop (9)

It takes about the time if doing 4 full sets with rest .but instead you don't get 4 fail points, you get more that double . But don't do this and expect to be at full power in 3 days 😂😂😂 (I only do this when I have 4 days of rest and I want to commit muscular atrocities :p )

I guessed it before watching the full video. Am I a certified nerd now?

So Broscience was always true? Bros always trained the best? half reps, fast, not perferct form...

The more and more studies come out, the more common sense is validated.

I mean it makes sense, wanna move as much weight as possible? Doing it as explosively as possible will generate more force

What do you think about a video on jump rope vs swimming vs distance running vs walking vs sprinting vs ruck marches etc etc?
