That’s what I did, I bought my first watch and wore it for every occasion, I was dying to get a new watch for a special occasion but I ended up just changed my bracelet to a flex during the week and then to my steel for evening wear. Perfect, saved me a fortune.

3 watches in my collection as of now, my first ever Swiss watch was a Tissot Quickster quartz movement. Proudly own a Tudor Black Bay GMT Pepsi, a Breitling Superocean Heritage B01 and an Omega Seamaster Planetocean first generation orange bezel. Most of my friends who have Rolexes are well off trades people. I live in Mayfair, and the idea of wearing a Rolex to impress people, either at the weekend or for a daily, would trigger huge laughs. If you aren't a builder, then it's PP as a daily driver, and ALS for the weekend.
