Fun Fact: Helena Bonham Carter has has been a huge fan of Sweeney Todd since she was a kid. And I quote “Mrs. Lovett, I’ve wanted to play her since I was 11. Even go out in Mrs. Lovett Hairstyles”. She was amazing

This song is 200% funnier when you know Sweeney knows Mrs. Lovett like. Just the way he reacts to her antics. “Ah, yes. Fifteen years, and she hasn’t changed a bit.”
And also the fact that he, at this point in the show, hasn’t been told his wife is dead yet. For all he knows she and Johanna could still be in that apartment above the shop, his family that he hasn’t seen in fifteen years, and he has to sit through THIS. Suddenly his facial expressions make sense 😂
