I’ve listened to all of the different versions from Emma Thompson to Angela Lansbury, and this one is by far the best. Her voice is so powerful yet she only unleashes it at the most pristine moments. Terrific stuff.

I absolutely love George Hearn sitting there watching her in stunned silence, looking at her like, "What the actual fuck is this mad woman?" His face alone is enough to send me into a fit of giggles! 🤣

I also love the line, "And I'm telling you that pussycats is quick!" because it's Mrs. Lovett basically confessing that she has tried catching cats to bake into pies, but with no success.

Everything about this song, and this scene is just brilliant! This is what you get when you have talented people bring Sondheim's words to life! (Take not Helena, Johnny and Tim! 😏)

I was at this performance, it was the San Francisco Symphony 2001. Neil Patrick Harris was also in the cast. Stephen Sondheim was in the audience and came up on stage at the end to Congratulate the cast. He seemed to really enjoy it. ❤️ the whole performance is available here on YouTube. It’s really good.

Oh my golly. What a spectacular powerful voice. She's a great musical actress. I can't wait to watch Miss Lea Salonga's version on the "Sweeney Todd" here in the Philippines this coming October 2019. 😊.
