WHY Scorpionlord JOINS the Duskveil BOSS Fight in Black Myth: Wukong 🙉🦂🐓 #blackmythwukong

Why does the Scorpionlord help you fight Duskveil? To understand this, we need to first know who they are.

The Scorpionlord was once the estranged husband of the Female Scorpion Yaoguai from Journey to the West. After she kidnapped Tang Sanzang, she was killed by the Dawnstar of Constellation Mao (Maori Xingguan in his rooster form), whose crow is fatal to scorpions. Following her death, the Scorpionlord vowed to avenge her. Despite inheriting some of her techniques, he struggled to match her power. He tried rebuilding her forces at Pipa Cave but ultimately moved to Webbed Hollow with his sons to train, still plotting his revenge.

Duskveil, once Ma Xingguan, was a divine figure in heaven who helped Sun Wukong during his Journey as mentioned earlier, defeating the Scorpion Demoness. As punishment for helping or intervening with Sun Wukong, he was captured by the forces of heaven and subjected to experiments by the Hundred-Eyed Daoist, leading to his corruption and transformation into an undead version of his rooster self—Duskveil. Though corrupted, Duskveil retains the deadly crow that killed the Scorpion Queen.

Driven by revenge, the Scorpionlord joins you to face Duskveil. But tragically, he forgets about Duskveil’s lethal crow and suffers the same fate as the Scorpion Queen, failing to avenge her.

Black Myth: Wukong is an action RPG rooted in Chinese mythology. The story is based on Journey to the West, one of the Four Great Classical Novels of Chinese literature. You shall set out as the Destined One to venture into the challenges and marvels ahead, to uncover the obscured truth beneath the veil of a glorious legend from the past.

It's a cool interaction between bosses, but I'd advise anyone on their first run to defeat the Scorpionlord and Daoist Mi before this fight. Otherwise you'll be locked out of their rewards and have to get them in NG+

I didn't do anything quest related in that area and went straight for duskveil and he showed up, was confused as to why he did but didn't question it and let him fight it

It’s a cool cutscene but you miss his armour if you don’t fight him also it doesn’t really matter if you kill scorpion lord first as when you start the duskveil fight he will have a portion of health missing equal to what the scorpion lord would’ve done in terms of damages before getting wrecked so essentially it’s just a live cutscene

I died like 30 times from scorpionlord and only 1 time from duskveil, he should eat that chicken alive.

Yeah, if you leave the scorpion lord to fight unaided. He still gets whooped BEFORE the second stage. Although, the fight was pretty cool. There was even a clash between them both.

I made a mistake and completely missed that side of the area and didn’t know about Scorpionlord until I started hearing comments about him. So I had to fight him in new game+, I was wondering why there were 2 beasts on the field when I fought Duskveil.

Lmao I kept dying to the scorpion so I said okay let me explore a bit and comeback, run into duskveil and the scorpion takes out his whole first phase before dying 😂 I was like thank god
