This needle is meant for the final boss of chalter 4, when he is in his second stage, dodge the first series of attacks and a cutscene procks, after yhe cutscene use this needle and it will kick him out of his second phase which will make him unable to perform any kind of high range aoe or the lightning bolt strikes which makes the fight really easy

In the original story journey to the west, the needle was a weapon offered by Pi Lan Buddha to deal with the Hundred Eye Daoist the centipede who you’d encounter in the later chapter of spider ladies. In the 86 TV drama, Wukong suffered from the Hundred Eye Daoist’s eye power. Then he went to Pi Lan Buddha for help. The buddha told him this needle could sort out the problem and the needle was made from her son’s eye. And her son is that Rooster, Mao Ri Xing Jun who turned into a boss in the hidden scenario of this game where you can meet him in Ziyun mountain.

In the secret area is a hidden boss too. U need to talk to the npc there and farm an item from the yellow Monks and bring it to the npc . Kill everyone and refresh the area when u dont get the item and kill again everyone for the item . You must do it before u kill the boss

Quick note,
if you don't kill the scorpionlord, when you fight the final boss of chapter 4, the secret area he comes in the fight, and they both fight one another

This game has a lot of secret stuff that really helps beat the final bosses of each chapter, and irs designed this way because this is literally what happens in the actual book. I’m currently just beat 4 and 4 and 2 items help huge amount, 1 and 3 do help but arent required I didn’t even use the spell that helps you in 3

Killing the boss to get the needle is almost as hard as the final 4 boss but after I got the needle, it only took 3 times to finally get the chapter 4 boss

If you don’t kill the scorpion king and then go and find the Duskveil boss, the Scorpion King and Duskveil boss end up fighting each other.😅

I did the chapter 4 boss without the needle cuz I didn't know. And it was the 2nd most clutch moment I've ever had in the game. That 2nd phase is nasty.
