I'm the script supervisor for season 2 of The Lincoln Lawyer. I look forward to you doing a similar reaction to our work, which is, in my humble opinion, better than season 1, which was itself excellent.

I know a jury consultant who asks her lawyer clients to watch Episode 5 from season 1. She said the jury selection process was the most accurate she's seen and that it shows how jury selection is a science, an art, and magic. That you use precedent AND gut instinct, and that no matter how well you think you did, something can always happen at the last minute to screw everything up.

I always enjoy watching videos of people within a profession rating the accuracy of movies, very insightful! Wish a review of my cousin Vinny would be next!

My husband is a criminal Court of cassation (Supreme Court) lawyer here in Italy, VERY fond of about lawyers fiction books (Grisham, Connelly, le Carré), and we love watching crime US movies/series or about lawyers, analyzing their way of thinking and how they prepare the defensive strategy, pointing out the differencies between Italian and US judgmental system and every time he gets excited at the moment of the closing argument :D we just finished the season 1, I will definitely show him this video of yours!
P.S. You should do A time to kill next!

IIRC, the novel explains that Mickey’s strategy in asking those two questions of the detective before the court adjourned for the day was to have that be the _last_ thing the jurors heard before going home and ruminating over the day’s testimony; the timing prevented the prosecutor from mitigating the damage on redirect until the following morning.

I did have one question on the tactic of the defense attorney wanting to cross examine the detective before the adjornment of the court. It could be to have the last thing the jurors heard for the night was that the detective focused on the client only and was sloppy. Thus the jurors will be more "preconditioned" to the defense's interpretation of the event than the prosecutors. Is that a possibility?

Does anyone else hate when you search for something and the results are mostly a new version or remake that you didnt even know existed

It is good to get the analysis and perspective of an attorney because we know that didn't entertainment things are altered for drama.
In this case, we have an attorney who actually looks like the actor and you have someone with a beard and a mustache or a five o'clock shadow and the blue suit, and he's a handsome guy. So that is some of the entertainment value of this particular program on YouTube. It gets you to pay attention more than if you were watching. Someone who didn't look anything like is attorney or the actor.

Good show. Mickey Haller is the best television lawyer ever.

Could it be that he introduced the 3rd party culpability defense right at the end of session precisely to prevent the prosecutor from having the opportunity to redirect straight afterwards?

Did you watch the Rittenhouse case? That did happen. They called Rittenhouse, the judge removed the jury and asked all of those question of Rittenhouse before he testified.

What kind of things can happen to a defense lawyer or DA if the judge gets pissed off for some reason?

Hey guys- I am not sure if this is the right place to put his question but if not please redirect me. There are two court cases that are in your back yard and I was hoping you would shed some light on them. One is the Priscilla Presley Partners v. Priscilla Presley that is set for Friday, I believe, but would love for you guys to cover the complaints. Also there is a counter lawsuit for fraud stemming from an alleged company out of Jacksonville that is threatening to sale the Elvis Presley Graceland mansion. The attorney on record is W. Bradley Russell who may or may not be with Russell and Russell in Jacksonville OR a complete scam. There are a lot of people who don’t usually watch your channel would love to hear a real lawyer discuss these topics. If you do a live please let us know ahead of time so we can make people aware to tune in. Thank you.
