How I made Math: Final Boss

Here it is. The video I’ve been working on for 5 months. Here’s how I made a deity of math in the Desmos graphing calculator. This video’s a bit fast-paced, so feel free to pause and read some of the notes I put throughout the video if you want more details. Otherwise, sit back and watch the fireworks as I explain everything that went into making this massive graph.
This video might be the most ambitious project I’ve ever made. It may not look like much considering it’s only 16 minutes long, but putting together all the animations and effects was a nightmare. I also ended up having to start all over at one point because I just didn’t like the direction it was going.
I even made a custom boss theme for the opening animation section. I was originally going to use Twisted Garden for it but then decided to make my own theme for it. I should have a full song ready at some point but I’ll have to see where my motivation takes me for that.
Factoring in everything I wouldn’t be surprised if this video took me over 100 hours to make. Hopefully videos won’t take me that long to make in the future. Hope you enjoy it!

As the designer for nameless deity I can safely give it the seal of "wow this is insane crazy". Didn't even know you could do that sorta stuff on desmos

Bro thought he's drawing the final boss of math, not realizing HE IS the final boss

This is how the very first CGI had to be created, directly from math, because there simply was no 3D modeling software to create them. That is why the shapes in Tron are so simple.

13:00 it was that moment when I realized why my laptop can handle some old games with very high graphics but breaks whenever I look at a hill in an indie game.

Great overview! You've really covered every Desmos trick in the book while keeping it viewer friendly. Looks like it was a blast to edit!

Watching this feels like seeing someone create a new formula.

You have no idea what's going on, he explains what he's creating, your mind explodes after a small set of sentences and smh it becomes the new masterpiece of humanity.

Best type of video ever. 10/10

This is soooo cool. All the different techniques you used to make the shapes as well as optimize the animation are amazing.

This person has coded art and basically made animations that would be part of a gaming engine(like Unreal Engine or RE engine) by using equations. That’s amazing!

Holy shit, I wrote an entire camp on trying to teach kids to do this stuff, but only ended up being able to run it as a two hour session so I wasn’t really able to actually teach the kids all the stuff that they would’ve needed to know to do something like this, but I definitely wanted to teach kids to do this kind of art in a camp and it was a worthwhile pursuit and I definitely learned a shit load when I spend about a month trying to learn to do ~80% of the stuff that you’ve done in this video. I love this so much holy crap.
