Why do you call the internet unsecure if traffic is https. What makes a VPN traffic different to a https traffic over the internet, is it just that the data is send on a private channel ?

I have a doubt over here. If suppose I have been connected to vpn and then if I use an app or website which uses device location. Is there any possibility that isp or someone can track us.

I have one doubt, even when we access net through VPN, we first connect to our ISP, the isp assign us an IP address, and we connect to VPN server, my doubt is that, in this case, does not our ISP know to which (VPN)server we we have been connected, and the time and duration of such connection. Is it technically possible for the ISP track our activity and subsequently force the VPN server hosting company to reveal all the activity. IS THIS TECHNICALLY POSSIBLE?

when https encrypts the data why we need the vpn to further protect it. if https is used it is anyway encrypted between end to end.
