Today we’re going to talk about the relationship between fasting during Ramadan, and it’s immune effects.

Ramadan lasts between 29 and 30 days. During Ramadan, you’re required to not eat or drink anything from just before sunrise to just after sunset. This is a dry fast, which means you’re not drinking any water.

What you eat before and after you fast is going to make or break your success. Having junk food or refined carbohydrates before and after your fast could inhibit some of the effects you could achieve from fasting. However, low-carb, keto-friendly foods may be much more beneficial to have during your meals. Ketones are even anti-microbial.

Benefits of fasting:

• Decreased cytokines
• Increased macrophages
• Increase the microbiome
• Increased resistance to stress
• Decrease in oxidative stress
• Increased autophagy and xenophagy

Some islamic recommondations how to eat:
1/3 meal
1/3 water
1/3 air
Don't fill your stomach too much!
2 Meals per day is enough.
Don't waste food.
Share your food.
"If your neighbour is hungry (has nothing to eat), you can't/should'nt sleep" .

Thank you Sir.

I became a Muslim 5 years ago ! Intermitent fasting for one month each year and few days during the year keeps me in a better shape than not doing intermittent fasting ! I think it’s the best thing that I am doing for my body ! And surely I pay attention to what I eat as well ! ❤happy Ramadan to everyone ! May you all receive all the blessings and enlightenment needed !

I became a Muslim after I tried to defeat it. I realised it was the truth and could not find any mistakes.

Thank you, Dr. Berg. Your knowledge and videos are a blessing. I reverted to Islam in my 20's. My health was in bad shape when I was younger. I'm close to 50 now and in the best shape of my life. Dry fasting Monday, Thursday, and during ramadan fixed me.
