Nice review. I guess the Camera detector operates with red color that is very close to IR (InfraRed). Now, most CCD and CMOS camera sensors have an IR filter or IR cut-off filters on them due to their extreme sensitivity to IR waves. Most camera sensor IR filters work as it is in their name, they filter out the IR wavelength so they reflect most of the IR and near IR waves thus deep red colors as well. So the detector emits a lot of this red color and then when it is directed to the hidden camera the IR filter in the camera reflects a ton of that red color making it highly visible. Almost like when you direct a bright light onto a mirror.
Infrared cut-off filters, sometimes called IR filters or heat-absorbing filters, are designed to reflect or block near-infrared wavelengths while passing visible light.

the lazer light is not impressive, it just reflect the light on camera glass and reflect back, thats how it work, just light reflect

Don't know just how relevant this is, but, once I had a radar detector and I came up to a traffic signal, with a connected spy camera, those used so to charge "red light running" motor vehicle operators with violating the law. My detector seemed to alarm me crazily as I came to a stop for that red light!
