What is the Height of an Equilateral Triangle?

The height of an equilateral triangle is very cool because it can be represented with a handy formula that only requires knowing the length of a side of the triangle! In the case of equilateral triangles, all sides are congruent which is why we get the special relationship that we do. In this video I show you how to find the height of a triangle/how to find the altitude of a triangle if that triangle is equilateral using the handy height formula. With this formula you can quickly get an equally handy area formula for equilateral triangles, and I have a video or two on that as well, including a proof, so check that out too! This is one of many properties of equilateral triangles worth knowing!

I was trying to look this up I looked at the question again and it said no base so I didn’t have to calculate the base only the other triangles for surface area

If the square root of 3 is an irrational number, therefore it results into an inaccurate result when used.
