It's been a while, my gardenia plant lives & gets thick with foliage twice a year(spring & fall) but has yet to bloom, not even once. Have just about decided that it's out of its' blooming comfort "ZONE", It may just stay too hot here & ideal cooler temps don't stay around long enough for it to bloom. Too bad, because I love the aroma of a Gardenia bloom .

I added one tablespoon of Epson salt to a gallon of water . Then I sprayed the bottom of my plant. So far so good. perked up

Gardenias are one of the most difficult plants. I bought 3 times Monrovia gardenias and every time they die; leaves turn yellow and no growth what so ever and then they die. From what I have been reading they don't like moist soil at all unlike what he said in the video.

I love them so much but they are the toughest to take care of...it's very hard to read them. I've had success and failure with all sorts of plants but I've never loved any plant as much as I love my Jasmine and Gardenia. But so far for care and maintenance, I'd say hardest plant I've owned

Ok i put those 1:01 min and every time i do my gardenia turns yellow like she hates it but all the florists ive talked to have told me put those blue vitamins every 15 days but my plant doesn like it.. i noticed she hates when u change her spot, also she doesnt like much sun, doesnt like to much heat nor tooo much cold. I am a plant lover and i have nooo issues with any plant and everyone keeps telling me Gardenias are easy but mine is definitely not ive been trying for two years and nothing, she is alive and green but doesn't do the white flowers with smell like she's supposed to. 😭😭 i dont know what else to do.

I planted 3 gardenia shrubs 6-8 years ago, they only bloomed maybe a couple of years. I've never pruned them and now I'm thinking of moving them to a different spot. The stem is rather thick, so I am going to cut them all the way down and up root the. Do you think they will survive?

When I lived in Houston I had about 5 gardenias planted on the ground, seriously they were 5 feet tall one of them was August Beautiful, they were beautiful, no special care, gave her sun about 3 hours a day. But I moved to Phoenix and seriously was a serial murderer of gardenias, so I did not buy anymore. Yesterday I went to a house where they had a potted gardenia and in full sun, I was surprised and I told myself, if they can I too. So I hope to break the curse of gardenias serial killer, went to Lowes and bought me two of these.
