How a Properly Trimmed Wood Wick Candle Burns

Trimming your wood wick candle is very important. If your wick is not trimmed, it can cause your flame to become too large. This will reduce the hot throw of your candle, overheat your vessel, and produce soot.

Additionally, lower in the vessel, an untrimmed wick may produce a low flame due to the lack of oxygen in the combustion cycle. This will also cause a poor scent throw as the flame will not become hot enough to release the fragrance.

Always remember to keep you wick trimmed below .25" inches, trim it before every burn, and to not burn for more than 4 hours.
