🌋 Blue Lave:
While the term "blue lava" might sound like something out of science fiction, it's actually a real phenomenon that occurs when sulfur burns.
Blue lava, also known as Api Biru and sulfur fire, is a rare phenomenon occurring when sulfur burns. It produces an electric-blue flame due to the emission of excited sulfur atoms releasing energy as blue light.
🏖️ Glowing beach:
We humans can witness this natural phenomenon when there is lots of bioluminescence in the water, usually from an algae bloom of plankton. The bioluminescent sea will glow when it's disturbed by a wave breaking or a splash in the water at night.
🏝️ An island floating in the clouds?
- No 😄
“There is an ethereal, otherworldly feeling to this photograph, as this little island in the middle of Tumuch Lake in northern British Columbia appears as if it’s floating in the clouds,” says Shane Kalyn, who submitted this photo to the National Geographic Traveler Photo Contest.
“To bring us back to Earth, a fish has left a ripple in the water on the left-hand side of the shot. The scene was amazing to witness, let alone be lucky enough to photograph—totally the right place at the right time.”
🌈 Rare Red Rainbow:
Red rainbows are incredibly rare and are seldom witnessed. Several factors contribute to their infrequency: Low Sun Angle: Red rainbows require a low sun angle, meaning they can only be observed during early morning or late afternoon when the sun is near the horizon.
🍎 Rare Black Apple:
The Black Diamond Apple is a rare variety from the family of Huaniu apples that is cultivated in the Tibetan region of Nyingchi. Despite what the name suggests, the apple rather is a purple hue, with white pulp on the inside. Its unique color is due to the region's high altitude of over 3,500 m. (Wikipedia)
