I just snapped up the GM. I had always bought Sigma due to the value and didn't mind the weight and had got used to it. After putting the GM on my camera for a test drive, I knew the form factor was definitely worth the extra money as I try to carry my camera on me all day every day. For those who don't, the Sigmas I've owned have always produced incredible images as well.

I really appreciate your reviews on camera gear. I've watched several other pixel peepers comparing images, and you can CLEARLY see that they are deliberately de-focusing a lens slightly to make one product series better than another. F Nikon primes versus 1.8 Nikon S series is a great example. You're the only camera guy/photographer on YouTube I've subscribed to.

I ordered the G master Last night but after watching this video I canceled it and ordered the Sigma because I don’t do it professionally and it’s really just to take pictures of my kids and some friends once in a while so it save me a ton of money. Manny, which of lense would you choose for portraits, if you can take just one of them: 35mm 1.4GM, 50mm 1.2GM and 85mm 1.4GM? Which one of focal length is your favorite now?

I can fit a 35mm f/1.4 gm, 24mm f/1.4 gm, 55mm f/1.8 and a7iii body, as well as several lens filters in my peak design 5L sling. Couldn't do that with the sigma. Having those GMs is a cheatcode mode, people who don't know anything about photography see your small setup, which looks somewhat like their dad's DSLR but all the images are just so much clearer, in focus, sharper, with creamy AF bokeh etc.
