Former Penn Swimmer Lia Thomas: 'Trans People Don't Transition for Athletics'

Former Pennsylvania swimmer Lia Thomas took part in a sit-down interview Tuesday on ABC's 'Good Morning America" to respond to criticism that she transitioned to gain a competitive advantage.

"I transitioned to be happy, to be true to myself," she said.

The panel is joined by Dr. Payal Kohli to discuss transgender athletes in sports.

Folks, there is only ONE thing about that MAN that was TEMPORARILY changed: his level of testosterone. He underwent the hormone treatment for only ONE YEAR, and he HAS NOT BEEN ON IT SINCE COMPETING. The fact that he has a GIRLFRIEND and he HAS REGULAR INTERCOURSE WITH HER is all anybody needs to know when the question arises as to whether his testosterone level is CURRENTLY being suppressed or whether he is a 100% FULLY FUNCTIONING MAN who FEELS AND FUNCTIONS 100% AS A MAN.

WILL Thomas knows damn well that he is a MAN. NO ONE who knew him in school, right up until the year before he took hormone blockers, can vouch for his CURRENT claim that he "felt like a woman." Ask his GIRLFRIEND if he "felt like a woman" while they were having sex then, or if WILL ever once mentioned this to her. Furthermore, I don't believe his claim for one minute that his taking HRT "helped his depression" since extensive studies have shown that males who suffer from depression improve dramatically when given TESTOSTERONE therapy, not when given either hormone blockers or estrogen.

WILL Thomas did that because-and I quote the man-"Before I 'transitioned', my career in sports WASN'T GOING ANYWHERE." Bingo! THAT is what this is all about: him advancing his athletic career using any means possible...even if he has to knowingly CHEAT!!

Lia Thomas's family register is a woman, and being a woman is protected by law. Her face is fair and smooth, she is an elegant beauty, and her body is muscular and beautiful like an athlete and has a good style.

You are not awful for stating the scientific truth! If you go through puberty as a male, you have a larger lung capacity and a larger heart, which both translates to vastly more endurance and better oxygenation of the blood. This is why biological women don't compete head to head with biological men in Track & Field.

Why is this a political issue? There's a special Olympics. Why can't there be a transgender sports associations where only transgender people compete? Or you can also give them handicaps when they compete?

There is no reason this issue has to become a political fight that wastes everyone's time.
