do senile plaques form in between neural passageways, physically block signals, and stop brain function that way or do they form near neurons and push against the cells in the brain and thus causing the disfunction? I am aware that the plaque is thought to kill cells by forming holes in the plasma membrane I'm just not sure exactly where they are formed
