Boston's bins seem to have a high end designer flair...New Hampshire I LOVE! I have on a few occasions found a high level Real Real type brand there, but not nearly as much as Boston.

I feel like my best finds there so far have been in picked-through bins vs standing and waiting in the crowd to dig into fresh bins, and dodging the aggressive flingers who seem to be looking for very specific items. There’s too much stuff in those giant bins! I usually give myself an hour or so before heading next door.

ooooh ooooh I just got Vendoo too, and was considering Mercari... I tried it once about four years ago maybe? let us know what your experience is... how it's different, better, worse than others? So happy for you that the Boston bins are open again. But bummer that they're using those deep bins... that's not what they are designed for. Also re the wool blanket - that plaid is the MacLeod of Harris modern tartan - that's why the MacLeod tag. I love looking up which clan a tartan is from. Yeah, I would crop the sweater, it will be cute. Lay it flat, measure up from the hem to the spot you want to cut, then measure and mark just below that line with a fine line marker - do this every 3-4 inches (about the length of shears), turn it over and repeat. then cut in scissor strokes just above the marks. The trick with knits is don't pull at it, or use strokes that are too short - it will be jaggedy. Hold flat with one hand, and cut firmly with the other. Use your sharpest scissors. Sorry to lecture, I have shorted a lot of garments over the years, and getting a clean straight edge is worth a few extra minutes. LOL. Best wishes xoxo. And sorry I'm so chatty today good god.
