High Diastolic Blood Pressure Prevention:

Video: In this video, I’m going to tell you about high diastolic blood pressure. Many people look at the top number of their blood pressure reading and ignore the bottom number. Both numbers are important and if high diastolic blood pressure is ignored, it can lead to dire consequences. When looking at your blood pressure readings, if the top number is low but your bottom number is high, there’s a good chance eventually both numbers are going to be high. I’m going to explain high diastolic blood pressure to you, what causes it, the dire consequences and how to lower it. First, let me explain what diastolic blood pressure actually is. It’s the 2nd number, or lower number of your blood pressure reading. When your blood is pumped, it puts pressure on the artery walls. The pressure on the artery walls while your heart is resting between beats is your diastolic blood pressure. So how do you know when your diastolic blood pressure is considered high. If your diastolic number is 80 to 89, it means your blood pressure is in the high blood pressure stage 1 range. In stage 1, doctors are likely...

Very informative, I’m 26 and just got diagnosed because of family history. I find it way less scary when you understand a disease than when you don’t.

I've been on a carnivore life style for almost 3 months. I have lost 22 lbs. I am still overweight. My B/P was 108/73 this morning. I recently reduce my BP meds by half about a month ago. I exercise about 40 minutes every day. I believe the weight loss also contributes to the lowering of my blood pressure overall. I did enjoy your video.

My aorta fully dissected days after a 196/174 reading. Do not disregard. Doing so nearly cost me my life. It has cost me dearly: six surgeries and multiple month-long hospitalizations.

KNowledge is power and now that I understand what all this means and the risks I feel more compelled to make smarter choices in diet and lifestyle.

I’m 44 with 100 diastolic blood pressure (with medication) I’m trying to get a sense of what this means….

My overall blood pressure was kinda high at the office last week. I've been exercising and dieting over the last week and have lost 10lbs. My systolic pressure is now under 130 but my diastolic pressure hovers around the low to mid 90s. Hoping that some additional time on my new lifestyle changes will eventually bring both numbers (mainly diastolic) down to normal levels. I really don't want to take medication whatsoever because i know most people who start never stop and end up taking it for the rest of their lives. I'm not trying to become a slave to big pharma.

Title says High Diastolic pressure and causes. Instead video was about BP not diastolic and it being different as the title suggested. My 'Diastolic' pressure goes up at times and was looking as to why my diastolic sometimes does this on occasions while my Systolic remains pretty much where it normally is.

I'VE HEARD THAT INSULIN RESISTANCE CONTRIBUTES TOWARDS HAVING HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE. THAT'S WHY A LOT OF PEOPLE WITH DIABETES, ALSO HAVE HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE.

Very helpful, I can get my BP at a good range, but it climbs. I walk early in the morning and evening. Do a light workout breathe exercises and squats. Take supplements and have lost over 40 pounds. I'm over 60, I need to keep my BP in a passing safe zone.

I scared of dying, my blood pressure is average 173 over 113 this last week .
My Dad died of stroke and grandad heart attack at 66 years old, I'm 58 years with two young children .
Panic and dread after watching this video. Trying to get an appointment at the doctors is impossible .
Been having headaches recently and anxious feeling at nights with little or no sleep .

Beetroot and beetroot juice! I cannot believe you left that out when it’s proved to lower bp and I can vouch for that it dropped mine by 10mm

I am just 30 years old and my diastolic pressure never drops below 90, sometimes goes upto 110 whereas the systolic pressure is low/normal. My weight and BMI is good too and I hardly eat any junk as well. I have a good lifestyle with adequate excercise and diet though my maternal side has a history of hypertension so it’s kind of hereditary but I fail to understand why at such an early age it’s manifesting this way.

Thanks for this. I'm a 29 year old male with isolated diastolic hypertension. My systolic is 125 (I exercise, but I'm on TRT), but my diastolic fluctuates from 90-95 usually. If I get a panic attack, then it shoots up to 108

I think its strange that for years 140/80 was normal. I am a nurse and most young, healthy people run 130 to 140/80 to 90. I think they just want to sell drugs and low BP causes dementia. I am a hospice nurse and i see old people with very low BP's on HTN meds! Its the first thing we stop and cholesterol meds

My systolic BP is 115 and my diastolic BP is 88. I am a 73 year old male and my systolic BP keeps going down and my diastolic keeps going up!!! Not too long ago, as in last year it used to be 118/81.

I’m 21 and my bp usually stays in the 130-140/85-93 range. I’m pretty worried cause I’m trying to eat better and do better but it’s hard to be consistent and I’m about to be a truck driver soon so i think that the lifestyle is going to make it even more difficult
