Buffy and Spike save each other | BTVS

Every time Buffy and Spike have attempted to save each other physically or emotionally. I thought it was very interesting how often they do save each other despite initially being mortal enemies so I compiled every moment they do throughout the series.

Spike was there through all of it. Life, death, joy, pain, triumph, hardship, loneliness, fear.... Spike was the one who loved her, believed in her and would sacrifice anything for her no matter what. That's what real love is about.

Angel loved Buffy the hero. Spike loved Buffy the woman.

Spike wasn’t afraid to call her on her shit. Something Angel never did. Out of all of Buffy’s relationships, Spike was the only one who could handle every side of her. And they definitely had the same tempers lol

I love that the love, patience, and loyalty he showed toward drucilla in the beginning is the same toward Buffy. Angel had his soul and the moment he lost it, he turned into a monster. Spike, the monster, loved Buffy before he fought to redeem his soul.

It's a real round-about way to show that those who truly love you change who they are despite you, not because of you.
