I'm glad people are seeing that this isn't correct.

i totally agree with you! these horses dont seem to be all that frightened for being "wild", and he never once uses a harsh word or hand around them.

Breaking in wild horses?

More like terrorizing the crap out of them!

Definitely need to earn the horses trust and do a lot more ground work. Instead of being stupid!

Take the TIME to care enough to do the job RIGHT, and this usually will not happen. Some horses will buck regardless, but most won't if you take the time to earn their trust, and to accept your leadership. This is not a man being "macho, " it's ignorance and stupidity.

“he’s learning to trust us” whips rope around his leg and forces him to the ground and waves stick around his face

When you pull a wild horse down with ropes.. He's lying flat out like this with no resistance, it is not trust your getting from him. The horse is demonstrating "Learned Helplessness". Helplessness, not trust in humans.

And this is why they call it breaking the horse.

This is the old cowboy way of 'breaking' the horse. I prefer to 'start' a horse through slight pressure and release with
timing, rhythm, and feel. Much better for the horse in all respects.

Everybody on Youtube is now a horse training expert apparently.

Wild horses should never be broke, they should be gentled

"Now he's learning to trust us" as you force him to lay down with ropes. These people don't know how to train horses.

“Hes learning to trust us “ more like learning another abuse of pain

Congrats you just ruined a horse! Teaching the horse to be afraid is exactly what you are doing.

Natural horsemanship? Psh what's that?Naw let's tie em up and make em think they're gonna die! Jesus Christ. Take a little time to earn the horse's trust and you won't have this problem!

I've ridden horses who have been 'broken in' like this, and I've found that the horses who are 'gentled' and not 'broken' are generally more trusting, less fearful animals. I would much rather take the time to gain the horse's trust than break him in like this. Any young horses I train in the future will not be broken.

I don't break the horses spirit I become apart of the horses spirit and it becomes apart of my spirit

There is one thing that can not be debated, these horses are beautiful animals!

In my opinion he's just bitten off a little more than he can chew

To train a horse like that takes time and best results seem to come when you take it slow

I think he just has too many horses, short period of time, and every one needs to be rideable

Not saying he's bad or abusive, just think he should take the training a little slower

Why in the hell do they not have some of protection on their head and this is no way to tame a horse! NatGeo should be ashamed
