How to install Concealed Cabinet Hinges (35mm Forstner bit, Mounting)

I spent hours tyring to put this type of hinges on 2 storage cabinets I had to assemble that came with no instructions on how to install them or explain how the mechanism came apart. When I saw your video you did a fantastic job of explaining just how to assemble them. Now the doors align perfectly and I was able to correct the things I had done incorrectly. Thank you so much for the clear & complete instructions. Just wish I'd found it sooner.

That's a very good lesson of how to install it, but you forgot to tell a lill secret. Talking about the difference types of hinges. Not all of them have the same procedure of installation. But anyway, it's a very good video. Well done.

One thing to take into account is the depth of the point on the forstner bit. If you're working with 16mm mdf it will be ok with the 13mm depth required for the hinge but the point may go through the board.

The hinges comes with installation manual... must follow it without making assumptions.... otherwise the shutters will not fit properly...you may run out of adjustments provided...

This is an absolutely useless video, that can be edited to a third of the length in any case. The two aspects that you need to demonstrate is HOW you get to the 23mm centre of the cup side (various videos show from 21.5 to 24 mm and you need to explain how you arrive at 23) and how you determine the depth of the carcass fitting, which is normally 37 mm but varies from hinge make to hinge make. None of what one needs to see is shown and the answer is not that the hinges can be adjusted. Adjustment is limited so the two distances I mentioned are critical. Again, absolutely useless.
