The Kreg Concealed Hinge Jig takes the guesswork out of installing cabinet doors using concealed hinges. This economical, easy-to-use jig ensures accurate hinge alignment, so you can install doors that fit great and work well. Plus, the Concealed Hinge Jig works with an ordinary drill and the included carbide tipped bit.

The Concealed Hinge Jig allows you to drill cup holes for concealed cabinet door hinges (sometimes called "Euro hinges") using just a drill. The jig positions an included carbide-tipped bit exactly at the proper position and offset, and drills to the perfect depth every time thanks to a depth stop collar. The jig is simple to use, and it ensures that you can mount cabinet doors that fit great and work properly.

Concealed hinges are great for mounting cabinet doors because they stay out of sight, they’re adjustable, and they work very well. Mounting them, though, requires drilling a large hole at a very specific position and depth. The Kreg Concealed Hinge Jig takes the guesswork out of drilling those holes, and allows you to do it with nothing more than a drill and the carbide-tipped bit that comes with the jig.

Note: A 1/16" bit is required to drill for hinge-mounting screws. Not included.

The Concealed Hinge Jig consists of a glass-filled nylon base with a hole that receives a drill guide. Indexing cams ensure that the jig positions the bit to drill a hole at the required offset — which is dictated by each hinge — and a built-in stop collar ensures that the cup depth is correct every time. There are even holes that you can use to guide a bit for hinge screw holes. The Concealed Hinge Jig comes with a high-quality, carbide tipped bit to ensure great results.

The Concealed Hinge Jig is designed to be intuitive for beginners to use, but robust enough for professionals. Just pick out your hinges, look up a few basic mounting instructions that come with them, and then set up the Concealed Hinge Jig by adjusting a pair of built-in cams. After that, you’re set to drill hinge cup holes using any ordinary drill. Whether you’re installing one cabinet door or making doors for an entire kitchen, the Concealed Hinge Jig provides reliable, consistent results.

Shaun Hill, i bought mine on Ebay UK, it came from the states and I got it in 4 days. Well worth paying the little extra for shipping I think.

Overall I like the jig. It's the easiest I've ever installed the euro hinges. It really is as easy as seen on the video. My only gripe about the jig was easily remedied with the addition of a flat washer. I found the jig's stop collar to be useless with the Blum hinges I was using. They require a 7/16" deep cup hole (others in the Blum line require a 1/2" deep hole for the cup). In either case, the shallowest hole the stop collar will adjust to, is close to 7/8" deep. On a 3/4" thick door, this is cutting it very close when you consider the deeper dimple left by the bit's point. My solution was to drill out the center hole of a 1/16" thick flat washer so that it fits over the bit's shaft. I put the washer on after the bit is inserted into the guide before adding the stop collar. Now when drilling with the stop collar adjusted for it's shallowest hole, it stops when it meets the washer (which is acting as a spacer), and drills a hole a few scants deeper than 7/16". Perfect.

Keep in mind that "professional" merely means "paid." So when you say "professional-quality" results I look over at my custom-built kitchen cabinets that cost way too much money and shake my head at the inconsistently installed hardware. Then I remember that our "expert professionals" didn't care to use a jig at all. They were close, don't get me wrong, but nowhere near the repeatability something like this brings to the... well, in this case to the kitchen.

Great tool..However how do you account for cabinet doors that have angled edges? The cams only account flat 90 degree edges...

What if I'm using the blum insertia hinge that needs the 8mm holes?

When will this jig be available in stores? I noticed it still says "coming soon" online.

Can this be used to install inset hinges as well as overlay?

Most concealed hinges come with a plastic anchor bushing that must be bored out using a  8mm drill bit to receive the anchors. You should have accounted for that  in your design. I personally don't like anchoring a hinge using screws into the wood frame.
