The only ones that I didn't know were black/bi-racial are those that I really don't know as actors/actresses. We (black people) can usually tell who our people are, no one has to tell us.

There is a weird obsession with race in the US. I remember when I first came here and I would be telling a random story about someone and before I even complete the story the question was always: what are they? I didn’t understand what that meant or why the question was even asked. That has always been weird to me to this day.
