This just makes me sad for all the animals that were killed only to end up as some sadass unseasoned meat. Like at least when I die season me with some rosemary or herbs or some shit

Wasn't expecting you all to like this. Hope you all get seasoned to perfection

Why the hell are some people so afraid of salt, spices and herbs they make food so much more interesting and aesthetically better

Sounds like there's just a ton of people who are either too cheap to buy spices, too afraid to try them or are just too lazy to follow a recipe properly.

Deviled eggs with raisins, jalapenos and relish? What monster does this to an innocent egg? 😖

One time, my mom wanted to celebrate his birthday with a sugar-free cake. The taste was so depressing nobody finish his piece.
Also, I wanted to support the vegan restaurant of my faculty that was in danger of closing, but after eating their tastless food, it was clear why nobody wanted to buy it.

I've eaten a lot of soulless food throughout my young life, but this one takes the cake! So about two months ago, an alcoholic neighbor of mine made food for me and my mom. He fried some diced potatoes, diced ham and onions. And you're supposed to have a fried egg on the side, but do you wanna know what he did?? He cracked an egg each on top of our food! Would you believe that? He thought the warmth from the already-cooling food would cook the egg! Needless to say, that experience spoiled both mine and my mother's appetite for that evening.

My grandpa's story(mother's side): When he was a kid he hated eggplant because his mother would boil it into slime. After he married my grandma, she made him a dish with eggplant and he loved it. When she told him the yummy stuff was eggplant, he refused to believe it because it wasn't slimy. He then realized when done right, anything could be delicious. This skill has been passed down in my family. My mom took soulless food and made it amazing.

It should be illegal for some of these people to cook. Like, seriously, some of these things are hate crimes against the culinary world

I was so broke I ate "helper" for a week. That's Hamburger Helper without the hamburger.

yknow i've been in a psych ward too, and honestly? those salads were to this day the best salads ive ever had. sea salt and olive oil for dressing, mix of romaine, spinach, and iceberg lettuce, a handful of sunflower seeds for a hint of protein and extra flavor??? incredible

Good food is a human right. Learn you how to cook, you won't regret it. I didn't want to live off of takeaway and canned soup until I landed a girl who can cook so I made it a hobby. Love to eat too much to do that to myself.

Who would have thought that using salt was such a bizarre concept for some people

My middle school cafeteria macaroni and cheese. It was enough macaroni noodles to feed everyone and seven slices of cheese. Not seven slices of cheese per plate, no seven slices of cheese for EVERYONE. No seasonings added, just a sad pot of barely cheesy macaroni. Thankfully when my and some of my friends got to eighth grade we were allowed to help in the cafeteria so we got to add seasonings and extra cheese to anything we wanted!
