Perfect video for when you want to learn qualitative analysis but also kinda want to dance. ;D

I am engaging qualitative research these days for my PhD dissertation. these videos have been really helpful in making final themes from codes

Thank you, Dr. Woodall! This is awesome! I like research though at entry level. Carrying out a qualitative research currently, I got confused on how to go about the thematic analysis and coding. You are heaven sent. Once again, my profound thanks!!!

A great job of visualizing representing how codes form axis and how axis enable themes. Most presentations only explain with bullets, but your exemplars are much more illuminating. Really well done James.

Thank you, not only for the detailed steps in coding and theme development, but for your references to additional sources, e.g., Attride-Stirling. Your video and supportive resources helped me create a thorough methodology section for my dissertation.

Thank you, Dr. James Woodall, that is very straightforward guidance for inductive analysis of interviews.

honestly, this is very helpful! I've been searching through the net but couldn't find one. This is one still the best!

Thank you! It makes much more sense seeing real examples than imagining this off the pages of a text book.

It's really resourceful. It has clarified things so simply. Thanks James

This has just answered my long standing curiosity on thematic Analysis. Am not a researcher but aspiring to be one. Doing a personal study before I venture into research. This is just awesome and thanks for the good work.

Super helpful piece of talk. Just what I have been wondering about.

This is really helpful and the most expansive and clear by far that I have found for my MSc. This sort of approach would be most welcome to show students at my University conducting research as we aren't really given much to go on for IPA. The process here is broken down really well and explained visually, which I really needed to help make sense of the process as it's so conceptual. Thanks James.

Incredibly helpful video! I was about to lose my mind trying to figure out how to approach the monstrosity of interviews. A million thanks!

Thank you Dr Woodall. All seems good, apart from one (very) problematic claim that "the data collection questions are not the themes". If the researcher adopts a so-called theory-driven approach to qualitative data collection and analysis (in contrast to purely inductive, data-driven approach, e.i. grounded theory), thus having a specific research question(s), then apparently the questions (to be precise, the concepts or constructs used in them) are indeed themes, though new themes may arise of course. This is a very important clarification to be made here.

Hello Dr Woodall you video was very insightful and very helpful. I am at the data gathering stage with my Mphil degree, which I am working towards upgrading to PhD candidate. I am more clear how I am going to analysis the themes. Was a bit unclear about using the quotes, but clarity came when you mentioned about analysing the data and use codes to support. Thanks much.

Oh damn, thank you so much for the video. You saved me from hours and hours of failed coding and failure.
