Your content is so good! I’m learning so much! I just got hired as a project coder with a university in South Louisiana where I’ll be coding stories collected from Cajuns and Creoles—many of them elderly whose native languages are French and Creole. I’m so excited, because I’m passionate about my culture and the stories of my people here in South Louisiana!
I’m also a web developer and aspiring software engineer (a different type of coder). I’ve played around with OpenAI’s ChatGPT quite a bit, and while it’s fun to play around with and it has helped speed up my programming workflow, qualitative data research and analysis is one area in which artificial intelligence is extremely lacking, so at this point, I believe using AI for my new job at this point would, in many ways, actually slow down my workflow.
