Photographer recreates images of civil rights leaders with kids to teach them about Black history

Tricia Messeroux is using her photography talents to educate the next generation about Black history by capturing young children dressed up as famous icons like Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Nina Simone. As part of CBS News' series Unifying America, Jericka Duncan shows how these photos are now inspiring future leaders.

Love the identity she is giving the child models and all children through this work. Not only giving them the opportunity to identify with such influential people of color that shaped America and beyond but the opportunity to identify with themselves and the influence they have as young people and individuals.
