Quest 2 is so bad with quality on Bluetooth, I hope they fix it. but I never really use the Audio jack though, so I don't really get the outrage.

i never knew the hole on the side of my quest 3 was a headphone jack, i was always so confused what it was.

AirPods don’t work with the meta quest 3 anymore. They connect, but the quest will not send audio to them

3S is already a huge downgrade to me, I need my headphone jack for the in-ear monitors I prefer to run for VR for the natural noise isolation, comfort, and helps with my own immersion. I still hate my Quest 2 as well but I'm stuck with it until there's a better wireless solution for what I would classify as "proper VR headsets" (Index, Vive, ect.). I'm going to go for the Quest Pro (with gritted teeth) since it's got a slightly better battery and features I would absolutely use to boost my content quality. And then bluetooth headphones is just another battery powered device to worry about and I'd rather not.

NOW! Headphone users aren't completely S.O.L. with using headphones, theoretically maybe a USB type C connector could work to still be able to use headphones/earbuds. And I'm also aware of a product that's specific for Quest headsets that run off the USB type C port with power passthrough so you can still charge your headset. But headphone users are now very limited in what can be used for audio for the 3S.
