Very good and justified question. I believe that heathenry is in its essence an open path BECAUSE everybody practices the religion differently. So everyone is welcome to learn from other heathens and integrate what they see fits their interpretation of the old ways.

My path is unique to me.

Sure, there are many clearings with well worn trails... places to meet with fellow travelers or briefly cross paths.

Where I came from - and my destination - are unique to me. Both the shorcuts and the long ways around are mine alone.

Even if I wanted to, I don't think I could share my path... but I could guide someone to the clearings and the beaten trails...

It is an ethnic religion, and as such, should be closed to outsiders.
