Go down the checklist like seeing if there’s a tax lien. Free resources on everything you have to look for. Then factor the true cost like home owners insurance. Insurance rates have been going up because of climate change. It’s no only monthly payments. Electricity in places like Texas is a rip off after deregulation and the AC runs all the time during the warmer months. It’s hot and humid. Texas homes also have foundation problems.

I have a question. I live in Torrance, ca. with my wife, son and mother-in-law. Mother-in-law owns said property. When she passes ''we'' get the home. It is a living trust, (if that helps with the question). We want to move to a comfortable clime somewhere here in the states. What should be done when she passes and to prepare for that event?
