My mother passed away on 2-4-2021 from a brain tumor and this song reminds me of her. Her name was Ann and these lyrics really touch my heart. Love you Mom, Mike.

Im 59 now, This song reminds me of sitting in the back of my parents Buick Electra in late 79 while we drove to Vegas from Los Angeles. They have long left me, but the memories will last forever.

The part about the old folks makes me miss my inlaws who were older then my own parents by twenty years. They grew up during the depression. They were sweet hardworking people. He was a Korean War vet and attended The Citadel. He worked as a Mechanical Engineer in the Leo O’Brian building. We called him Grandpa Duct Tape because he was quite frugal. His linage was traced to the Mayflower and he always retained his Massachusetts accent. He worked on a cranberry bogs as a youth. She could crochet tablecloths in fine stitch and sew anything, she reminded me of Deby Reynolds in her charm and ladylike mannerisms. Her banana bread is only a memory now. I still miss them both dearly and I’m thinking of them today on a rainy summer morning in the capital region of NYS.

Boy does this ever bring back some fond memories! These were the golden years that slipped away! I recall a friend lending me this LP and I nearly wore it out! I'm also once again living in the same little town off I-80, where in an old eating establishment, where I served Gorden Lightfoot some wine because I was the only one of age working at the time! Seen his autograph written in the registry. We were so busy, I hardly even noticed it was him until afterwards! He could really tell lots of history through his songs!!!❤❤❤🎉😊

When I lived in Orangeburg, South Carolina as a child, the radio station WORG used to play this during the fall & winter months it used to rain a lot during those days I love this song and I was up in a record store in Virginia Beach, Virginia, and found this album about a year ago and bought it. Childhood memories!
