Gretsch have been sleepers for a while so it's always fun to see guys discover just how good they are. They look bloody great too.

The more I watch your videos, the more I appreciate just what a fantastic player and all round nice guy you are, Tim. Your love of music and espy all things guitar shine thru with a modesty that belies your status in the guitar world. The blend of guitar nerdery with your fantastic knowledge of theory, mixed with a great on screen presentation style make for compelling viewing. Thanks for all you provide.

I love listening to Tim play. His music is so fluid and melodic. Plus, he seems like an ordinary Joe, just with amazing talent! What I wouldn’t give to spend some time jamming with him and maybe enjoy a few brews together. Rock on Tim!!

Hearing the chorus to “Seeds” on the radio as a kid made me a Beatles fan before I even knew what that meant. The “Hello, Goodbye” progression, the little “Penny Lane” horn lines…it sowed the seeds of Beatlemania in my 9-year old soul.

Tim Pierce just noodling around is better music than about 99% of what I hear on the radio these days!

Tim has quickly become one of my favourite players and YouTubers if I’m ever feeling down all I have to do is put on one of his videos and the absolute joy that Tim exudes through his attitude and playing that comes though his videos is an instant anti depressant keep up the great content you help some of us out more than you know

I wore this album out on cassette. I love those guitars. Why are you doing this to me, Tim? I have Christmas bills to pay off! LOL

I think everyone here would agree... It wouldn't matter if it was a $100.00 pawn shop guitar or a super expensive collectable from Norm's, in the hands of Tim Pierce it's GOING to sound amazing! Like a woodworker of years gone by, a master of his trade can make magic happen even with a single chisel and knowledge. Thanks Tim for always providing great content and sharing your vast wealth of knowledge and experience!

Thank you Tim for your review. I have purchased 2 Gretsch Electromatics in 2021, both below $1K each, and am also very happy with the build quality and sound. They are both keepers in my guitarsenal.

It's always a pleasure to watch Tim Play. He gets such a kick out of making good music ... like he's eternally grateful for the talent and accepting of all the hard work he put into becoming such a great musician. His positivity jumps out of the screen.

This is one of my desert island discs, I bought this on cassette when it came out and played it on repeat until the cassette literally died. I am a big fan of TFF, they write such interesting songs, both musically and lyrically. There aren't many bands that do this kind of thing anymore and that's such a shame. Thank you for featuring them in this video, Tim!

Hey Tim, recently found you thru Rick Beato. I'm a keys player but I have to say I love your playing and watch your channel regularly... anything musical gets my interest. This vid is extra special cos this track is one of my faves too 😎 Cheers brother.

I just bought a Gretsch Electromatic Double Jet. She's a beauty. I love those clean looking fretboards with the crescent sliver fret inlays on the edge.

I just got the Airline Silver G5420 and I'm blown away with the playability and tone. Absolutely love this guitar.

First saw Tim on UK TV doing a mime along performance in 1983 of 'Souls' with Rick Springfield from Living in Oz which I then purchased on the strength of that appearance on a popular late afternoon show here in England, and became an instant Tim Pierce fan from that point, his lead solos on Souls made the hair stand up on the back of my neck. Although a hard rock and metal lead player of just over 50 years now, started age nine and mostly play Floyd equipped guitars, these Gretch models are gorgeous.

Love it! This was the radio hit while “Woman In Chains” and “Badman’s Song” got overshadowed. I LOVE these first two tracks in particular from this album. The making of this album was so incredible in the late 80’s as they shunned drum machines and synths and brought on killer musicians, not the least of which, Oleta Adams! I have the Mobile Fidelity vinyl and still listen to it!

Love, love the current Gretsch models. They are way more comfortable to play than others in this style, and they sound fantastic. People are shocked that they can play everything from jazz to heavy rock. Try ‘em!

I was recently blown away by the 65220! Still can’t believe the feel and sound. What a beautiful beast!

This song and the album as a whole transports me back to my youth. One of my all time favourite albums that I played to death. Thanks for making this video.
I’ve also been on a Gretsch kick for the past 2 years and now own 3 players edition (2 Duo Jets and a Broadkaster Jr), with my black duo jet now my main gigging guitar. I used to take a Les Paul and Tele to most gigs. Now I take a Gretsch instead of the LP and hardly ever put it down. The Gretsch just covers so much ground but I wouldn’t be playing one if it wasn’t for the players edition. Fender has done an amazing job making these classic guitars so much better. The necks are so consistent, are just the right size and shape, and they play so well it’s hard to believe it’s a Gretsch.

I bought a Gretsch G619T FT Players in Red Sparkle and I get all giddy at how easy it plays! And the tone(s) are beautiful and vast! The red sparkle finish is just wonderful!

Thank you Tim for the lifetime of great memories and your awesome Master Class!
