I grew up pretty competitive in sports/esports. One of the hardest things for me was to watch/play alongside others who just don't care enough to play to win/improve. They just didn't have the drive to take chances and reflect on their mistakes and try to get better. And if you point that out while not being in a leading/respected role, you're seen as a snob.
Finding balance between competition and having fun is extremely hard as well.
