tip number one: don’t start the fight in mid afternoon or sunset...

The eel was easy lol, the meg I did a different way and tool it out with basically zero damage :)
Don't with any boss stay on the raft, keep the raft close at hand but always be in the water and sticking close as possible to the water boss marker as you can :)

If you pull a small raft up between the upturned hull and the net and get your sail caught on the beam between them, megalodon will not jump out of the water. Free shots for days.

I know this video is old but I tried your tips and they didn't work...is it a patch thing?? Did they make it harder?? I hugged the sail just like you said and the Meg kept jumping at me anyway...Am I doing something wrong??

I don’t understand the bosses. What do you get for defeating them? My starting island is literally within eye sight of the air craft carrier with the plane on it. Can I leave without defeating them?

The Meg sail trick doesn’t work at all... I’ve just tried it and it kept jumping out the water through the sail and getting me 🤷🏻‍♂️

Can we use our anchor during the boss fights?

If you swim down the length of the chain, you'll be underneath the squid. It wont be able to reach you there. In day time, you'll have a very large and clearly visible target circling your head. Again, it cant hit you once you reach a certain depth.

ok the Eel was easy... you just stay on top of the ship on the surface and stay away from his head, attack his tail... or go underwater in the balcony area of the ship where it cant attack you... took around 30 speargun ammo...

Tried this method and it didn’t work so tried method in comments which didn’t make much sense but again failed…. Got hit off wreck and fell in and came up under wreck in air pocket….. SUCCESS!!! 100% can’t get bitten or attacked so killed shark within a minute as it just keeps swimming under and around you!!!!

Bro it took my 30min to kill the squid because I ran out of spears and when I finished him and went to my island to safe the game crashed 🤦‍♂️

You missed one trophy, beat the game without using Compass its actually easy, easy to navigate and finding boss, if you lost on another island go to save at your sleeping bag and exit the main menu, and go to Cartographer which island you on. So bad

I do not know if they updated the game or I am doing something horribly wrong but I’ve tried keeping my back against the buoy and get killed quickly. I’m on an Xbox One and the anchor works at the boss fights. I managed to kill the other two bosses but this one kills me so fast I hardly have any damage to it before I am killed. I did find that I can trigger the start of the fight by parking my raft against the buoy and then shooting the air gun down into the water from the deck of the raft. I manage to get a few hit points against the squid before it drags me off of my raft. Thus far, I’ve used 5 bandages in every fight and that is not enough. Does anybody know if the Beam Team adjusted the game so that the squid can attack you even with your back against the buoy?
