Dealership Life - Selling a vehicle with Damage

In today's video I tell a story of a recent interaction with a client... during which the client shows up to the dealership to further speak about the Suburban they were interested in. It was damaged by a deer a few months back.

This is a great video. My wife and I bought a used Jeep that had prior damage last year. Problem is, when we brought it back to the dealership for inspection the shop gave us a $3, 000 invoice and said none of the stuff was covered by our extended service plan. SMH

This was a good way to handle that situation.

I wish all car dealerships had this level of honesty. I was sold a Prius last week, after getting it home. I noticed it had hidden rust damage above the windshield. I took it back to the dealership. They wanted to offer me touchup paint for rust that had perforated the roof. After having the service manager take a look at it they agreed to the cost of half the repair. Should they not have been liable for the total repair?

I wish the dealership I went to was like yours. Because when i bought a car they never showed me the carfax. When I was looking on getting rid of it I found out it had 2 previous accidents one that had structural damage at the rear.

Dave I wish you were my dealer I just bought a van that after I got home I found out it had been wrecked and the dealer is telling me too bad all used cars are sold as is .Now I've got to get lawyer involved to get the van fixed right or my money back.

Thank you for the video. This just happened to me. The carfax they gave me has no accident on it, it was a copy, not a color original. Ive been having problems w/ the car and took it to the dealership. It now says the car was in an accident and fixed prior to the dealership getting the car.

I've called them and made them aware but they refuse to deal w/ me now. What typically happens w/ this? It's now been 30 days.

Really like your advice I bought a car had it for over five years went to trade it in and found out after I signed all the paper with no accident that there was an accident after I purchased a used vehicle from Toyota but it’s a GMC terrain just seeking advice because I bought it for my elderly parents so now I have a really bad taste in my mouth please and thank you please and thank you

just purchased a vehicle found out last night there's water damage and its not reported on the car fax I'm clueless on if I can get my down payment back and go somewhere else.

Mistakes happen. Glad that it all worked out in the end. Any idea when inventory will pick back up? We will be trading in a car in the coming months and leasing a new one.
