Hey bro, self taught stop motion animator here, just wanted to say thanks for making this video. Something I learned on my own is that animation is just harder filming. The style I do, stop frame animation, basically is filming/photography so these pointers helped a lot. Keep being awesome.

Ohhh my ….. the way you said in the beginning the part about not even knowing what you don’t even know yet so you don’t even know where to begin or what to ask or …etc etc etc
That spoke to my SOUL I almost cried! I have been behind a camera for 15 years (since I was 10) and now at 25, I am turning it into a career. Thank you for helping me even understand what the F I’m doing and how to take it more seriously! You truly don’t know how much this has impacted me, thank you, times a million gazillion!!!

Love the channel. As a commercial director who's been directing for over 10yrs, I'm still a student and always hungry to learn new things. Keep it up.

Thank you for the enlightenment. I've decided to take the plunge and start purchasing videography equipment to fulfill a decades old dream. Knowledge is key and it starts right here with these basic fundamentals.

Thanks, man! I've been making videos since I was in 8th grade but I'm self-taught and I put the camera down for a while. I'm jumping back into video making but I'm in that gray area where I know a lot but I need to know more, and I don't know where to start. This video helped guide me in the right direction. You're awesome Dude!

You remind me of a filmmaker friend of mine named Ryan Rossum. He sadly passed away in February 2021. You look alot like him too. He made a few local films here in York Pennsylvania. He was in the middle of making one when he passed. I have a copy of two of his films. Ray's Intellect and Dead Queens. Both great films and both shown locally to large crowds. He was going somewhere and sadly his life was cut short. He was only in his late 20's.
Like you I too am just getting on the lighting band wagon. Usually just worked with the ambient light I've always had avaible. Although I keep a small LED light in my pocket just for incase I need more.

Funny guy. Thanks for the video. I have ordered a Sony HRX-MC2500. Basically a camcorder in a big body, but it hasn't got touch screen, which was a bonus for me. I just wanted something decent for my Youtube channel. This is my first video camera, and I have no idea how to operate it (or any other camera), as I am always on the other end. Your tips are good, sound advice and I appreciate any information.

You're great, B-Wash! I loved the way you set up the presentation, , , You sound friendly and approachable, and I got a clear picture of the video-making craze! I will get into it immediately, particularly since my little guy, Yitzhak, 8, wants to become a better videomaker than me!😁

Any tips on saving videos from premiere to beat Social Media’s compressions and avoid losing quality on uploads??

District 9. If you don't know the movie... it's absolutely awful how they abused shaky footage to create a sense of drama there... Anyone with me on this^^?
